Great Salt Lake in the distance

Ontario, Oregon is so close to their neighbouring state that the motel had copies of the Idaho newspaper. Southern Idaho is dry except where there is irrigation for hay and corn fields. In the Southeast corner there were signs saying "dust storms, do not stop." So we didn't! We crossed into Utah and soon had our first glimpse of the Great Salt Lake. It's warm and sunny here - about 80 degrees F.
