This area is famous for Torrontes wine though other varieties are grown as well. The high altitude, sandy mineral rich soil, and differences in temperature (sometimes there can be a 20 degree difference between the high in the day, and the low at night) combine to produce the high quality grapes. We went on a wine tour today, a tasting, then lunch on the patio overlooking the vineyards, the town and the mountains in the distance.
