Heading home today

It's raining today, so we were lucky to have beautiful sunshine yesterday for our visit to the Old Town part of Munich.  We've had very good weather for most of our travels really.

What a great trip this has been!  We've had a wonderful time, and now we're ready to head for home.
Thanks for following along by reading this blog and looking at our photos!
We leave you with a quick review of the places we've visited:

Our first stop was Iceland, and we enjoyed both our time exploring Reykjavik, and our day trip into the countryside.
This is Regensburg at night: the old stone bridge and the cathedral - we had such fun with our generous hosts and friends.
We lucked out with the weather in Riccione, Italy - Brad enjoyed the cycling and I liked the activities
Venice was quite magical
Then it was on to Florence - it was an adjustment to have to watch for cars, motorcycles and bicycles after Venice, where you either walk or go by boat.  This photo shows part of  the Uffizi Art Gallery.
Vernazza was so picturesque - it's one of the five villages on the west coast of Italy that make up the Cinque Terre
We got to Lucca in time to see the FridaysforFuture Earth Strike
Then we were back in Florence, and decided to walk up to Piazza San Michelangelo - most guidebooks say that's the best view of the city when the sun is going down.  We got a bit lost and ended up higher, in a different square, which was fortunate as there were hardly any people way up there, and it was an even better view.
Munich was our last stop - this is another shot of part of the New Town Hall - it's a big building
Today we leave Munich, change planes in Reykjavik, crossing time zones, to land in Vancouver in the early evening.  Thanks again for reading this blog!
